Meet the Doctor
Peter Farmer, DDS
To help patients in a timely manner with the best resources available, Dr. Farmer continuously advances his knowledge about treating this serious health condition. He is passionate about helping his patients breathe and sleep better. It is his goal to help people feel better, improve their health and live longer by providing the highest quality of care in the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Farmer is a third-generation dentist. His passion for oral-systemic health was passed from his grandmother and grandfather, both dentists in Germany, to his mother, also a dentist, to him. His Doctorate of Dental Surgery is from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Farmer completed a general practice residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, where he expanded his skills in hospital dentistry. He is an Alumni of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, and a continuing Faculty Club member of Spear Dental Education. He has taken numerous advanced education courses including the Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency at UCLA Dental School and the Orofacial Pain Continuum at LSU’s Dental School in New Orleans. He has been practicing dental sleep medicine since 2011.
Dr. Farmer is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the only non-profit professional association dedicated exclusively to the practice of dental sleep medicine. Dr. Farmer helps treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy, an effective treatment that is covered by most insurance plans.
In his spare time Dr. Farmer raises puppies for Guide Dogs For The Blind.
